Intercultural Competency Services
As populations in cities, towns and smaller communities across Canada become more diverse, due to the recent rapid rise in permanent and temporary immigration to Canada, the need for intercultural competence has never been greater.
Intercultural competency may be defined as a set of attitudes, knowledge and skills that are required to be able to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures. Intercultural competency can be applied in various situations, including for the team leader who wishes to know how to best lead, motivate and give feedback to a culturally diverse team to a healthcare practitioner who wishes to understand how the impact of culture should influence the nature of healthcare for culturally diverse patients.
We have considerable experience in delivering in person and online intercultural competency training programs to organizations across Northern Ontario.
